French festival offers Iranian films

The 39th edition of the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival in France has offered a number of short films by Iranian directors at its market.

The collection, containing about 100 shorts films, documentaries and animations, is being offered at the 32nd edition of the Short Film Market, which is running from February 4-10.

The website of the event announced that ‘A Basket of Eggs’ directed by Maryam Dousti, ‘A Window into Life’ directed by Dorri Rezaee, ‘30 Frames in Memory of Abbas Kiarostami’ directed by Negar Eskandarfar, ‘It Is Night Here’ directed by Peyman Jamshidi, ‘Kids of Tehran’ directed by Daniel Asadi-Faezi and ‘Online Shopping’ directed by Qasideh Golmakani are among the offered titles.

The festival that is slated for February 3-11 has also scheduled to screen ‘Alan’ directed by Mostafa Gandomkar in the international section.

The film ‘Alan’ is about a Kurdish man who has lost his home and family after the ISIS attacks in Syria.

The Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival is an annual international film festival dedicated to short films.

Launched in 1995, it is the largest film festival in France in terms of audience and professional attendance, boasting more than 100,000 attendees annually.
